One click, with the codes and fee already on it.
Card payments and AutoPay run through your practice's own Stripe account.
Mark the outcome, and Coral makes the invoice.
The session carries its fee from the moment you book, so marking it Show, No-show or Late cancel is what bills it. There's no separate billing step to remember.
- Services carry their CPT code and fee
- Sliding scale, per-client and per-clinician rates
- Invoice created when you mark Show, No-show or Late cancel
- Cancel a session and its unbilled charge drops off
- Change a fee and an unpaid invoice is reissued at the new amount
- AutoPay, payment links and recorded payments
Superbills in one click, estimates at booking.
Most private-pay clients ask for a superbill to claim out-of-network benefits. Coral builds it from the sessions they've paid for and puts it in their portal.
- Superbills from paid sessions in one click, sent to the portal
- ICD-10 diagnoses carried onto superbills by date of service
- Good Faith Estimates for self-pay clients, issued at booking
- Coming on Pro: eligibility checks and out-of-network claims, then in-network claims in January 2027
Questions therapists ask
How does billing work for private-pay practices in CoralEHR?
Each session's fee is set when you book, from your services and fees. When you mark the session's outcome, Coral creates the invoice, and AutoPay can charge the client's card on file. You can also send a payment link or record a payment made another way.
Which payment processor does Coral use?
Stripe. The practice owner connects the practice's own Stripe account from Billing, and Stripe's usual processing fees apply.
Can Coral make superbills?
Yes. Create a superbill from paid sessions in one click and send it to the client's portal, with diagnoses carried over by date of service.
Does Coral handle Good Faith Estimates?
Yes. Good Faith Estimates for self-pay clients are issued at booking.
Can I charge late-cancel and no-show fees?
Yes. Set your own late-cancel and no-show fees for your services.
Does Coral bill insurance?
Not yet. Coral starts with private pay, and today superbills cover out-of-network reimbursement. Eligibility checks and out-of-network claims are coming to Pro, and in-network claims are planned for January 2027.
Can I see what the practice collected?
Yes. Revenue shows what you collected this period against the last, missed-session costs, and a year you can export to CSV.
