Questions therapists ask

What kinds of notes does CoralEHR have?

Three kinds. A progress note belongs to its session, a chart note logs any other contact, and a psychotherapy note stays private to you and out of the record. There are 16 note types out of the box, including SOAP, DAP, BIRP, intake, crisis, couple or family, discharge, EMDR, ACT, ERP, IFS, NARM, CBIT and play therapy.

Can I edit a note after I sign it?

Yes. Fix a signed note by editing it. Coral keeps every version and its history, so nothing is overwritten.

Can I change the templates?

Yes. Every template can be edited, and you can hide sections you don't use. You can also make your own templates.

Where did the EMDR note come from?

Our EMDR note came from a practicing EMDR therapist and follows her session structure. Templates for ACT, ERP, IFS, NARM and play therapy follow each model's published structure.

Does Coral show which notes I still owe?

Yes. Notes to write lists sessions that were attended with no signed note yet, and anything more than 72 hours past its session is marked.

Can I dictate notes?

Yes, on Pro. Dictate straight into any note field. Pro also has an optional notes assistant that drafts the note from the session for you to review and sign. Audio is never stored.

Does Coral do treatment plans?

Yes. Treatment plans with goals and objectives, plus plan formats for EMDR targets, IFS, NARM, ERP, CBIT, ACT and play therapy. Update progress without re-signing the plan, and clients can read their plan in the portal and confirm they have read it.
