Supervision hours, sign‑off and fees, in your EHR.
CoralEHR tracks licensure hours for LPC, LCSW and LMFT supervisees from the calendar.
Supervisees send their hours for sign-off, and supervisors sign them, co-sign notes, run individual, triadic and group supervision, and get paid for it. Interns join free.

Jamie, an intern, keeps their hours
A supervision hours log filled from your calendar.
Most supervisees copy their hours from the calendar into a spreadsheet every month. In Coral, a session counts once it's marked attended, for the time it was booked.
Goals come from the supervisee's program or board, and Coral shows how close they are to each one.
- Client contact from attended sessions, with couples and family hours kept apart
- Supervision received as individual, triadic or group
- Other hours added by the supervisee, approved or declined by you
- An estimate of when they reach each goal, such as "At this pace, about August 2027"
Sign off hours on the rhythm you choose.
Your supervisee sends a month for sign-off and it shows up in your Needs you list. Sign it, or send it back with a reason.
The signed record is frozen and emailed to them as a PDF.
- Weekly, monthly or end of term, set per supervisee
- Send hours back with a reason, and see them come back fixed
- "Changed since signed" when anything moves after you sign
- A licensed colleague can sign as alternate where the board allows
Co‑sign notes before or after they enter the record.
Some supervisors approve a note before it enters the record and others co-sign afterward. Coral does both, set per supervisee.
You can ask for changes without losing what was written.
- Choose per supervisee: approve first, or co-sign afterward
- Ask for changes with a note the supervisee can act on
- Notes to co-sign wait for you on Today
Supervision meetings on both calendars.
Supervision meetings sit on the same calendar as sessions, with their own video room.
Attendance counts toward each supervisee's hours, and the supervision note is signed and acknowledged inside Coral.
- Schedule supervision on both calendars, by video or in person
- Supervisees can ask for a time, and you accept it
- Attendance and a supervision note with topics and cases discussed
Supervisees pay you for supervision by card.
Paid supervision usually means a Venmo request and a note in a spreadsheet. In Coral you set the fee per supervisee, it shows up in their Needs you list, and both of you keep the receipt.
- Card payments through your practice's Stripe account
- Record cash, check, Zelle or Venmo, with receipts
- Late-cancel and no-show fees for supervision, off by default
Session recordings, only with written consent.
Coral records a session's audio only when the client has agreed in writing, keeps it inside the EHR and deletes it on schedule.
Listening back shows a supervisor what a note can't, and a phone recording or a shared drive puts the client at risk.
- Written client consent, with an ask before every recorded session for new practices
- Shared inside Coral between clinicians and their supervisors, never downloaded
- Comments at a moment in the recording
- Deleted on a schedule, and right away if the client withdraws consent
- Clips of 15 minutes or less for an intern's professor, after your approval

Questions therapists ask
Does CoralEHR track supervision hours for licensure?
Yes. Client contact hours count from attended sessions on the calendar, with couples and family hours kept apart, and supervision is logged as individual, triadic or group. Supervisees can add other hours, such as outside supervision, which their supervisor approves. Each supervisee sees their progress toward the goals they enter and an estimate of when they will reach them.
How are client contact hours counted?
A session counts once it is marked attended, for the time it was booked. If a session runs long, Coral counts up to 30 minutes past the booked length, and the log shows both numbers, for example "Counted 1 h 20 min of 3 h 10 min in the room".
How does sign-off work?
Supervisees send their hours for sign-off on the rhythm you set for each pairing: weekly, monthly or at the end of a term. You sign, or send them back with a reason. A signed record is frozen; if something changes later, the month shows "Changed since signed" with the changes listed, and the signed record is emailed to the supervisee as a PDF each time.
Which licensing boards does it follow?
You enter the hour goals from your program or licensing board, since boards differ. Coral can show optional hints for Texas, California, New York, Florida and COAMFTE, such as how a board names a kind of hour, but it never blocks you. Board forms are drafts to copy onto the board's official form and sign there.
Can a supervisee pay me for supervision through Coral?
Yes. Supervisees pay supervision fees by card through your practice's Stripe account, or you record cash, check, Zelle or Venmo. Receipts stay in Payments and receipts for both of you. Late-cancel and no-show fees for supervision are available and off by default.
Are session recordings for supervision safe?
A session is recorded only with the client's written consent, and new practices also ask the client before every recorded session. Recordings are shared inside Coral between a clinician and their supervisors, can't be downloaded, and delete on a schedule you set. If a client withdraws consent, their recordings are deleted.
Can interns share a recording with their professor?
Yes, when the client's consent includes their school. The intern marks a clip of 15 minutes or less, the supervisor approves it, and the named professor gets a view-only link with an emailed code that expires after 7 days by default, and always by the end of the internship. The professor can comment, can't download, and every play is logged.
Can I co-sign notes before they enter the record?
Yes. For each supervisee you choose whether notes go into the record when they sign them, with your co-signature afterward, or wait for your approval first. You can ask for changes with a note, and the supervisee sees exactly what to fix.
How much does supervision cost?
Supervision is part of every group plan. Each supervisor covers free intern seats: 3 on Starter and 10 on Pro. Associates and limited-permit clinicians who see clients take a normal clinician seat. A supervisor who does not see clients can have a supervisor-only seat, which we set up on your call.
