Why this exists

The title on your license depends on your state.

It might be LPC, or LMHC in New York, Massachusetts and Florida, or LPCC or LCPC elsewhere. The caseload is broad everywhere.

  • A different measure for every presenting problem
  • EMDR bilateral stimulation in a separate browser tab
  • Associate hours in a spreadsheet your supervisor signs on paper
  • Notes from five modalities squeezed into one SOAP template

Coral was built for the counselor whose Tuesday looks nothing like their Monday.

Counselors carry some of the broadest caseloads in the field, and the title on the license changes with the state: LPC, LMHC, LPCC or LCPC. Coral gives you 16 note types and 32 scored measures in one chart, with bilateral stimulation and a sand tray inside the video session for EMDR and expressive work. Associates log hours from the calendar and send them to their supervisor for sign-off.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best EHR for LPCs in private practice?

One that handles a broad caseload without extra subscriptions. CoralEHR has 16 note types, 32 scored measures, EMDR bilateral stimulation and a sand tray on the $29 Starter plan, with supervision on every group plan. It is built for private pay, so if you need in-network claims today, an insurance-first EHR fits better until ours arrive in January 2027.

Is CoralEHR for LMHCs too?

Yes. LPC, LMHC, LPCC and LCPC are state titles for the same kind of license. New York, Massachusetts and Florida use LMHC, for example. Coral works the same way for all of them.

Does CoralEHR track LPC associate supervision hours?

Yes. Client contact hours count from attended sessions on the calendar, and supervision is logged as individual, triadic or group. Associates can add other hours, such as outside supervision, for their supervisor to approve. You enter the goals from your board, since boards differ, and Coral can show optional hints for Texas, California, New York and Florida.

Can I do EMDR in telehealth sessions?

Yes. Bilateral stimulation runs inside the CoralEHR video session, so you and your client use it together without sharing a separate app. Pattern, speed, color and sound are saved per client, and it is on every plan.

Which assessments are included?

32 scored measures, including PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, C-SSRS, Y-BOCS, DASS-21 and AUDIT. Scores calculate on their own and drop into your note. Answers that signal risk raise a flag for you.

Do counselor associates pay for a seat?

Associates who see clients take a normal clinician seat. Practicum and internship students join free as interns: 3 per supervisor on Starter and 10 on Pro.
