Couples work often runs alongside individual sessions. The shared note belongs to everyone who was in the room, and each person's individual sessions stay in their own chart.
- The couple or family note shows in each member's chart
- Individual sessions stay in that person's chart only
- Each person keeps their own measures and documents
One invoice for the session, to the person who pays.
You choose who pays for the couple or family. Coral makes one invoice when you mark the outcome, and the receipt goes to that person.
- Choose who pays for the couple or family
- The invoice is created when you mark the outcome
- AutoPay can charge the card on file
Guardians get their own portal access.
Family therapists and play therapists work with parents as much as with children. Each guardian gets their own portal access, and who can see what is up to you.
- A guardian can act for a child in the portal
- Portal access and who pays are set separately
- You decide what a guardian can see
Questions therapists ask
How does CoralEHR handle couples and family therapy?
You create a couple or family of 2 to 6 people and book them into one session. Each person keeps their own chart, the shared note shows in every member's chart, and one person is billed for the session.
Can each partner still have individual sessions?
Yes. Each person has their own chart, so individual sessions and notes stay private to that person, while couple sessions and their shared notes appear for both.
Who gets the invoice for a couple session?
The person you choose as the payer. Coral creates one invoice for the session when you mark the outcome, and AutoPay can charge their card on file.
What if one partner doesn't show up?
You mark each person's outcome, so a no-show or late cancel is recorded for the right person, and the session record stays accurate.
Can a parent manage a child's portal?
Yes. Guardians get their own portal access for a child, separate from who pays. A guardian can act for the child in the portal, and you decide what they can see.
Can couples join a video session from different places?
Yes. Each person joins from their own device. Couple, family and group video is on every plan, with up to 6 clients plus 4 guests.
